Advice on Application of Electrodes
Make sure, that the
PeroBravo
is switched off (no display visible on the LCD-Display).
Connect the single poled ends of the lead wires to the electrodes plugs.
The other end of the electrode cable will be plugged into the output jack A of the
PeroBravo
.

Thereafter place the electrodes onto the skin.
Self-adhesive electrodes:
The self-adhesive electrodes are intended for gait training in the programs 13-16 and for use
with biphasic rectangular pulses that are shorter than 500 µS. An adhesive skin gel has been
applied to the electrodes, which can be re-used after removal from the skin. In the case of the
skin gel loosing its adhesion and if you can’t achieve more than 1 mA - please replace the elect-
rodes. The same effect, however, also occurs when using a damaged cable. Therefore, if normal
treatment is not possible by using new electrodes, the cable maybe faulty.
Electrodes which are damaged due to careless handling may not be used.
Electrodes with damaged cable insulation (e.g. visible copper wire) may not be used.
Electrodes with damaged, missing or stained aluminium coating or carbon layer, also with

Don‘t stretch the skin or the electrodes when applying the electrodes.
Do not pull the electrodes by force on the electrode cable. To remove the electrodes from the
skin, please lift the electrode at the rim towards the middle.
After use, please put back the self-adhesive electrodes on the foil and keep it in the sealed
plastic bag in a cool place.
These electrodes are intended for use on one single patient only.
Rubber electrodes:
Rubber electrodes must be used in all programs with monophasic pulses or pulses with a pulse
width longer than 500 µS.
Please moisten the sponge bags with water thoroughly. Then make sure the rubber electrodes
are fully inserted into the wet sponge pockets.

straps.
Make sure that the contacts of the connection cables are fully inserted into the sockets of the
electrodes before turning on the device. If the electrode contact point has not been met exactly,
you can easily move the sponge bags under the straps to the right position - to optimize the
stimulation.
After each treatment, please take the rubber electrodes out of the sponge bags, disconnect the
cables and rinse the electrodes as well as the sponge bags with clean water. Then the rubber
electrodes should be dried carefully.
