The Programs - Training of Walking
PRG 13-16 are designed for training of walking by current with biphasic rectangular pulses
only. All the other programs become deactivated if the foot-switch is connected (s.p. 58).
Besides three pre-set programs (13-15) with different treatment-parameters PRG 16 offers the
possibility to set custom parameters according to the therapists requirements.
All programs for training of walking are intended for selective therapeutic practice. The walking
exercise is useful for those patients who have already made progress in treating their peroneal

concentration on the therapy.
At the beginning of training the foot switch is usually placed in the shoe under the heel of the
paretic foot. Only in exceptional cases, when spasticity does not allow the heel strike, the switch
should be placed under the footpad of the healthy foot. In this case it is necessary to change
the operating-mode from HEEL to TOE. This is done by pressing the SET button for at least 5
seconds after selecting the desired program - then HEEL or TOE can be chosen with the right
+button (%).
While in „HEEL“ position the switch triggers current only when released, it is reversed in

In order to achieve a better gait, an adjustment of a „start delay time“ is possible by using the
left +button. In this way not only the beginning of the stimulation is delayed but also the end of
