When the seacock handle is in the vertical
position to the base, it is open and seawater
can flow into the system it supplies. When the
handle is in the horizontal position, the
seacock is closed and no water can flow into
the unit. Always keep the seacock closed
when not in use. Also verify it is open before
starting any equipment it supplies water to.
Periodically check seacock seals for leaks
and that all hose clamps on fittings are tight.
Lubricate moving parts at least annually.
