• Once on or near plane, use the engine’s power
trim to achieve better control and an efficient
planing position.
• Further adjust (usually UP) the trim tabs to
fine-tune planing efficiency and increase speed.
WARNING! Improper use of trim tabs or
moving them DOWN at high speeds can
cause an accident or injury. See Safety
Precautions at the beginning of this section
for more details.
