Test keypad
–
Enables a check by the user that each button on the keypad is registering an output
and therefore functioning correctly.
Press the key to the side of the screen leading from the
‘TEST KEY’
option to reveal
the on-screen instruction
‘Press keys in sequence’
. To exit use same key twice.
Follow instruction and press any key to register a display on the LCD screen and
providing the display changes each time a key is pressed, then that key is functioning.
A typical display is :
Key 1 dec = 50 hex = $31

Test DACS (digital to analogue converters)
–
Enables a controller hardware test to be performed only by MONO.
Important
DISABLE THE MOTOR DRIVES USING THE E STOP
BEFORE RUNNING THIS TEST.
Press the key to the side of the screen leading from the
‘TEST DACS’
option to reveal
the screen as shown in Fig 51 Enter numerical values as appropriate using the main
keypad to select the expected test result from on-screen options.
To measure the dac output and to determine whether each is functioning correctly
place a voltmeter across its outputs and compare each output with the expected
displayed value associated with each option.
Option 3 ramp drivers, is for use by the software developer only.
