STARTED
3.1 Power
The ba ery powered Nova-Pro has a removable Ba ery
Pack that should be charged before use (See Ba ery
Pack sec on 8). The Ba ery Pack is keyed to ensure
correct inser on into the Nova-Pro and Ba ery
Charger.
Make sure to remove the tape protec ng the
ba ery terminals and charge the ba ery before use.
The AC powered Nova-Pro has an external power
adapter that must be plugged into an AC outlet
(115 Vac or 230 Vac) using the appropriate
connector. Interchangeable plugs allow for opera-
on in most countries (See sec on 10).
With the power source (battery or AC) inserted into the Nova-Pro,
turn the unit on by pressing and holding the POWER button
until the display illuminates, then release the button. To operate the
unit, pull the trigger. The unit will remember the last mode used.

3.1.1 Con nuous Opera on
The unit can be locked in con nuous opera on by pressing the
POWER bu on
while squeezing the trigger. Keep holding
the POWER bu on as you release the trigger and the Lock icon
will show on the display. To remove the lock simply pull
the trigger.

3.2 Input / Output Connec ons
The Nova-Pro has input and output jacks on
the side that can be used for external
triggering or synchroniza on (daisy-
chaining two or more strobes). These jacks
accept 1/8” [3.5 mm] phone plugs (input-
stereo, output-mono). The input jack
provides a source of power (5Vdc @ 75mA) to power an external
sensor and will accept a signal from 3 to 12 volts. The output is TTL
compa ble (3V) and provides a pulse synchronized to the internal
generator (
fl
ash rate) or external input signal. Connec on details
are shown in Figures 3 and 4 below.
