MAINTENANCE
Your MOBIKY bicycle requires minimal maintenance combined with regular servicing.
Service intervals will depend on the frequency with which you use the bike and the conditions of use.
. CLEANING :
Your bicycle can be cleaned by spraying it with water, or using soapy water and a sponge. Do not
use high-pressure cleaners, and especially no steam cleaners. The lubricants may liquefy inside
the mechanical parts, and the bearings and the power train would then very quickly seize up, which
would permanently immobilise your bicycle.
Avoid over-strong jets of water.
Wipe your bicycle down carefully and dry it off.
. LUBRICATION :
- Use a vaseline-type oil for the cables.
- After washing the bike, lubricate the power chain and the brake levers as well as
both chains.
- The bottom bracket does not require any maintenance : it is lubricated for the entire
service life of the product.
!
VERY IMPORTANT
Like any mechanical component, a bicycle is subject to high levels of stress and wear and tear. The
different materials and components may react differently to wear or fatigue. If the anticipated service
life of a component has been exceeded, it may break suddenly with the risk of the cyclist being
injured. Cracks, scratches and discolouration in areas which are subject to high levels of stress are
signs that the component has exceeded its service life and should be replaced.

GENERAL INSPECTION

Every three months you should check that the front and rear refl ectors and those on the pedals and
wheels are properly and securely attached.
Also check that the front and rear refl ectors are properly aligned – their refl ective surface must be at
