. RECOMMENDATIONS :
As a general rule, the level of the handlebars must be between 1 and 2 cm lower than the level of the
saddle. In practice however, it is each individual’s body shape which determines the setting. Once
you have completed a few rides and noted where you feel any aches (wrists, neck area...), it’s a
good idea to harmonise your back and arm position by setting the handlebar stem to the appropriate
height.
. Adjusting the height of the handlebars :
- Loosen the handlebar stem clamp
- Raise the handlebars to the desired height.
- Tighten the handlebar clamp
- Check that the handlebar stem is properly tightened by pressing down on the
handlebars. Take hold of the handlebars and try to tip them downwards. If the stem
is pushed down, re-tighten the clamp and redo the test until it no longer moves.
I
After having adjusted the saddle and/or the handlebars, ensure that the saddle is parallel to the
axis of the frame and that the handlebars are at right-angles to it.
If you do not ensure that the saddle and handlebars are correctly aligned as stated above, you run
the risk of losing control of the bicycle, which could cause physical injury or damage your MOBIKY
bicycle.
. Tyre pressures :
Ride comfort depends on the condition and pressure of the tyres.
Infl ate your tyres to the correct pressure. You must adhere to the tyre pressure range
shown by the manufacturer on the side of the tyre.
> Front and rear tyre pressure: 35 PSI / 2.5 bar.
!
VERY IMPORTANT
Do not use a high-pressure pump or a non-regulated pump. Never ride with incorrectly infl ated
tyres.
. Safety equipment :
- It is strongly recommended that you wear a helmet.
- Don’t wear loose-fi tting clothes which could get caught in the wheels.
- If you are riding at night or in bad weather, use your bicycle’s front and rear lights
(articles R313-4 & R313-5 of the Highway Code).
- The whole of the MOBIKY bicycle has been designed and built to comply with the
safety requirements in force within the EU. It has been tested by an independent
testing laboratory and has been certifi ed as complying with standard EN 14764
which applies to bicycles.
