19. Move the short circuit jumper to the 

RED

 and 

RED

 terminals on the LD 

module before powering up the Laser 
Marker.

NOTE:

  Failure to remove the short 

circuit between the Red and Black 
terminals may damage the LD 
Module.

20. After replacing the LD Module, replace the left-hand side cover.  Slide the cover forward to 

insert it. 

21. Replace the right-hand side cover.  Slide the cover forward to insert it. 

22. Fasten the panel screws to secure both the left and right side covers. 

23. When starting the equipment for the first time after an LD replacement, reset the LD hours 

and specify the LD wavelength and current limit. 

CAUTION

You

must

 specify the LD wavelength and current limit.  In certain cases, failure to do 

this may impact the laser output efficiency.  For more information, refer to the LD 
Module documentation and the

NOTE:

  For a fee, used LDs can be reconditioned to their original performance levels.  For more
