CHASSIS ELECTRICAL Ignition Switch
REMOVAL SERVICE POINT
STEERING LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL
(1) Insert the key in the steering cylinder turn it
to the “ACC” position.
(2) Using a cross-tip screwdriver (small) or tool,
push the lock pin of the steering cylinder inward
and then pull the steering lock toward you.
INSPECTION
IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY CHECK
(1) Remove the instrument under cover.
(2) Remove the column cover lower and ,
(3) Disconnect the wiring connector from the switch
and connect an ohmmeter to the switch side ‘connector.
(4) Operate the ignition ‘switch’ and check the continuity.

KEY REMINDER SWITCH,’ HOLE’
LIGHT CONTINUITY CHECK
(1) Remove the column cover lower and upper.
(2) Disconnect the wiring “connector from the key, reminder
switch or from the key hole illumination light and connect
an ohmmeter to the ‘switch ‘side connector.
(3) Check the continuity when the ignition
key is pulled out
of and inserted into the steering lock cylinder.
