(2) External signal assignment function
This function allows remote input or output signals of the main D/A converter module to be assigned to remote
I/O signals of the extension I/O module connected. Signals can be input from the extension I/O module and error
signals can be output to the external at the fixed timing without influence from the sequence scan or link scan.
(a) How the external signal assignment function operates

Assigning Alert output signal (RX1E) of a main D/A converter module to RY2A of an extension output

Assigning a remote input signal of the main D/A converter module to a remote output signal of the extension output module
does not allow the assigned remote output signal to be turned on/off or monitored by program. Turn on/off or monitor the pre-
assigned remote input signal of the main module. (In the above example, turn on/off or monitor RY2A.)
