Place air-cooled quick wrap around
pipe (and insulation if installed).
A single quick wrap is often used
directly over a joint or on the end of a
pipe.
Two quick wraps can be used to cover
a wider heat zone to introduce more
power into a larger part.
.
Keep heating tool leads between
ArcReach Heater extension cable
and workpiece together to
increase heating performance
and minimize unintentional
heating of nearby objects.
.
Position the quick wrap close to
the weld joint to decrease the time
spent to reach the desired temper-
ature. Protect quick wrap from
weld heat and grinding with a weld
blanket or move quick wrap further
from joint.
.
Smaller pipe diameters will
provide more of a gap and cause
a requirement for a tighter cinch
under pipe.

Cinch up tight.
.
Cables may be suspended above the workpiece to
keep the area under it clear of cables. Use plastic cable ties,
tape or non-conductive strap to support cables.
