Cleaning the control panel
,
Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents, glass cleaning agents or
all-purpose cleaners. Because of
their chemical composition they
could cause serious damage to
surfaces.
Plastic panels:
^
This type of control panel should only
be wiped with a damp cloth or
suitable cleaning agent designed for
use on plastic.
Stainless steel panels:
^
Control panels made of stainless
steel should be cleaned using a
damp cloth and a little washing up
liquid, or a proprietary non-abrasive
cleaning agent designed specifically
for use on stainless steel (do not use
it on the controls).
^
To help prevent re-soiling, a
proprietary conditioning agent for
stainless steel, such as Neoblank
(available from the Miele UK Spare
Parts Department) can also be used.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions
on the label and apply sparingly with
an even pressure following the
direction of the grain.
Aluminium panels:
^
Clean aluminium panels with a damp
cloth and a little washing up liquid.
Aluminium is affected by the way that
light falls on it, by the surrounding
environment and by the angle you
observe it from.
,
Stainless steel and aluminium
surfaces and controls are
susceptible to scratching and
abrasion, and must be treated with
due care. They may suffer
discolouration or damage if soiling is
left on them for too long.
Remove soiling immediately.
