2. If no problems are found, the tester displays a battery pack

okay message.

No Trouble Codes Found

If any problems were found during the testing process, a 

listing of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes is displayed.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Each  displayed  code  indicates  a  problem  the  tester  has 

found.

3. To view the description and cause for each trouble code,

use the ARROW keys to select the desired Trouble Code

and  press  the  VIEW  soft  key  to  continue.   You  can  also

press the associated number key on the tester keypad to

go directly to the description.
A  description  of  the  Trouble  Code  is  displayed  on  the

screen.

Clear Trouble Codes

This function clears the TROUBLE CODES results from 

the vehicle’s onboard computer.

1. From the HYBRID TESTS menu, use the ARROW key to se-

lect the TROUBLE CODES icon and press the 

SELECT soft

key.

Hybrid Tests Menu

The TROUBLE CODES menu appears on the screen.

2. Using  the 

ARROW

  keys,  highlight  the  CLEAR  TROUBLE

CODES icon and press the SELECT soft key.

The tester will attempt to connect with the CVG-2 module.  

If the module is not connected, the tester will prompt you 

to turn the key on and connect the module at this time.

3. At the confirmation screen, press the YES soft key to clear

the codes.  The HYB-1000 tester will confirm that the codes

have been cleared.

Run Chart

The Run Chart function is designed to measure and 

graphically display the amperage moving in and out 

of the hybrid battery pack.  Voltage is also measured 

across the battery pack.

To perform an accurate test using the Run Chart, the vehicle 

must be driven while the tester displays the data.

NOTE: Always obey all traffic laws while performing 

this test.

1. From the HYBRID TESTS menu, select the RUN CHART icon

and press the SELECT soft key.

If the CVG-2 wireless convergence module has not been

connected to the OBD-II connector, the tester will prompt

you to connect it at this time.
