Microtrac S3500 Particle Size Analyzer Operation and Maintenance

Sample Delivery Tube 

Connect the suction tube from the Linear Dry Feeder to the S3500 Dry Delivery Cup.  Use the short 
sections of ¼” Teflon tubing and push-to-connect fittings at either end.  See Figure 2-7.  Make sure the 
suction tube is long enough to prevent binding as the traveling arm moves through its stroke.

Electrical Connections 

Connect the 25-to-9 pin communications cable to the Linear Dry Feeder and to a COM Port on the PC.  
This Com Port must be selected in the Microtrac software to operate the Linear Dry Feeder.  (Please refer 
to the appropriate software manual.)  Connect the power cord to the Linear Dry Feeder and to an 
appropriate outlet with a safety ground connection.
