WARNING: BE SURE THE PISTON OF THE OUTLET SYRINGE IS WELL INSIDE THE BORE OF THE
SYRINGE ELSE IT MAY BE SHOT OUT AND INJURY MAY OCCUR. DO NOT ALLOW THE OUTLET
SYRINGE TO OVERFILL!
Duty Cycle
The LV1 Processor was designed to process very limited volumes of fluid and as such has a limited
duty cycle
. Unless the Cooling Fan option is used
, the duty cycle of the standard unit is as
follows:

CAUTION: CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT OPERATE BEYOND THE ABOVE DUTY CYCLE ELSE DAMAGE
TO THE PUMP AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WILL RESULT.
Cleaning and Storing the Equipment
1.
Add the appropriate cleaning solution liquid to the inlet reservoir/syringe.
2.
Complete steps 1 through 8 in the
Operating the Equipment
section.
3.
Adjust the
Process Pressure Adjustment
knob to obtain 20,000 psi or to a process
pressure up to maximum. The machine will clean quicker at higher pressures.
4.
Run the equipment until the cleaning solution filling the outlet reservoir/syringe is free
of product.
NOTE:
If the cleaning solution you are using is incompatible with the storage liquid (usually
alcohol), it may be necessary to rinse with another liquid prior to introducing the alcohol
to the machine. If rinsing is not necessary, then add the storage liquid to the product inlet
reservoir directly.
Using the Emergency Stop
NOTE:
Before starting the Microfluidizer processor, the
Emergency Stop
knob has to be pulled
out by rotating the knob clockwise, and the blue
Reset
button on the control panel has to
be depressed.
