4.2.2.14.1 Path Signal Label
The path signal label, C2 byte, defines the payload type. There are two options for the
Path Signal Label
1B (GFP)
Should be configured for VC-4 EOS mode
02 (TUG)
Should be configured for VC-3, DS-3 or E3 modes
The receiveing indication shows the value of C2 being received.
The receive and transmit path labels should match for correct operation.
4.2.2.14.2 Path Signal Trace, J1
The WCM5100 supports assigning a path signal trace in the overhead J1 byte. The string
may be 16 characters in length. Again J1 may be configured for transmit and expected.
An alarm will be raised if there is a mismatch between Expected and Received.
4.2.2.14.3 RDI Type
The RDI type may be configured for either 1 bit or 3 bit operation.
