4.2.2.10  J0 Expected 

The Section Trace is used to identify correct connection, and can be used to generate an 
alarm  when  incorrectly  connected.    By  defineing  the  expected  J0  string  an  alarm  will  be 
generated  when  a  miss  match  occurs.    This  alarm  will  enforce  a  downstream  path  AIS 
condition. 

 

 

4.2.2.11  Receiving 

The  receiving  J0  string  displays  what  is  being  received.    If  the  expected  string  has  been 
defined, an alarm will be generated if the Received J0 does not match the Expected J0. 

 

4.2.2.12  E1 Value 

The E1 value configures the idle value for the E1 overhead byte.  This can normally be left 
at the default of 00.
