Use the

soft keys to make changes. Use the
Next
soft key to move to the next character. Press
the
Done
soft key when the changes are complete. A prompt will appear:
Save new data?
Press the
Yes
soft key to accept the changes. Pressing the
No
soft key will delete the changes and keep the previous
settings. The MFT will now return to the
Rerange
main menu.
Set 4mA Range:
This option allows the user to configure the pressure value at which the HART device will
read 4 mA. Move the cursor to
Set 4mA
and press the
Select
soft key.
The screen will prompt:
Take Loop offline
. This notice reminds the user that the device output will not be a
measurement of the actual process, and to place the receiving device or control system (such as a chart
recorder, PLC, or DCS) in manual mode. Press the
OK
soft key to continue. Press the
Back
soft key to
return to the
Rerange
main menu screen.
After pressing
OK
, the screen will prompt:
Apply new 4ma input
. This screen prompts the user to apply
the pressure that will become the lower range value. Press the
OK
soft key to continue and the following
screen will appear. Press
Back
to escape.
With pressure connections teed to the MFT and the HART device, apply the desired pressure and press the
Select
soft key. The MFT will then configure the pressure applied to equal 4 mA. To set 4 mA to
correspond to zero pressure, make sure HART device is vented to atmosphere.
The screen will display the prompt:
Put Loop back online
. This notice reminds the user to return the
device to service. Press the
OK
soft key to continue. The MFT returns to the
Rerange
main menu screen.
Press the
Back
soft key to return to the
Sensor
main menu screen. Pressing
Back
again will return the
MFT to the
Device Config
screen.
