NOTE: Tank locations have now been confirmed.
14. Now begins the calibration process for each tank. Press the down or up arrow on the
arrow trackpad to highlight the tank to be calibrated and press the check button.
NOTE: As you progress through the listed tanks in the table the tank successfully calibrated
will change to blue text.
15. There are three tank calibration methods.
•
Choose "DEFAULT" (go to
step a
) for uniformly shaped tanks where each quarter
of the tank holds a quarter of its total capacity. The default method will place values
of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% into the same calibration used by the
"MANUAL" method thus overwriting any manually entered data.
•
Choose "MANUAL" (go to
step b
) to fine tune the tank calibrations when you have
a known amount in the tank. This is the most commonly used option because you
can enter the calibrations at any time and see how they affect the calculated fuel
remaining. The calibration does not need to begin at any set level, and where
duplicate tanks in the vessel exist, the calibration settings can be easily copied
from one tank to the other and then even slightly adjusted up or down over the
course of a few tanks of fuel.
