The damping characteristics adapt to the current
operating and driving situation.
The damping is tuned individually for each wheel
and is affected by the following factors:

The road surface conditions
R
Vehicle load
R
The drive program selected
The drive program can be adjusted using the
DYNAMIC SELECT switch.

AIR BODY CONTROL function
AIR BODY CONTROL is an air suspension system
with variable damping for improved driving com‐
fort. The all-round level control system ensures
the best possible suspension and constant
ground clearance, even with a laden vehicle.
When driving at speed, the vehicle is lowered
automatically to improve driving safety and to
reduce fuel consumption. The option of manually
adjusting the vehicle level is also available.
AIR BODY CONTROL comprises:

The suspension tuning is comfortable.

The vehicle is set to the normal level.

When driving at speeds of above 78 mph (125 km/h) the vehicle is lowered.

When driving at speeds below 50 mph (80 km/h), the vehicle is raised.

(Economy)
R
The suspension tuning is comfortable.
R
The vehicle is set to the low level.
R
The vehicle is not lowered any further if you are traveling at higher speeds.
