Electrostatic charge can cause sparks and
thereby ignite fuel vapors.

Always touch the metal vehicle body
before opening the fuel filler cap or
touching the pump nozzle.
This discharges any electrostatic charge that
may have built up.

Fuel that does not conform to the required
quality can lead to increased wear as well as
damage to the engine and exhaust system.
