FRAMING DEPTH & FINISHING GUIDES
The framing depth for this fireplace is 19-1/2 inches. This is a fixed depth required for all installations, except a corner in-
stallation and for installations that use solid Granite or Marble slabs as fascia materials. For corner installations, see Gen-
eral Appliance Specifications and Planning the Installation Sections.
For installing solid Granite or Marble slabs as fascia material, reduce the framing depth by ½” then install ½” thick drywall
on the framing studs so that the drywall is flush with the front face of this fireplace. Install the Granite or Marble slab so
that it adheres to the face of the fireplace and the drywall.
Finishing Guides
Finishing Guides are supplied with this fireplace. The guides protrude out 1” from the face of this fireplace. The side Fin-
ishing Guides are attached using 1/8” rivets. The guides will need to be removed if a Bentley Door is being installed, or
the optional Finishing Guides for a Grace Front are being used. To remove the Finishing Guides use a 5/32” drill bit to drill
out the Rivets.
Decorative Front – Finishing Guides
NO FRONT
– If the Fireplace is installed without a Decorative Front. The Fireplace should be finished to the Finishing
Guides that come on the Fireplace.
TRADITIONS FRONT
– The Traditions Front installs over the Glass Frame of the Fireplace. The Fireplace should be fin-
ished to the Finishing Guides that come on the Fireplace.
GRACE & WILLOWBROOK FRONTS
– These fronts will install on top of the Finishing Material. The Fireplace should be
finished to the Finishing Guides that come on the Fireplace. Optional Guide Kits are available for these Fronts. The op-
tional Guide Kits should be used when the Finishing Material is greater than 3 inches thick, or a flush finish is desired.
When using the optional Guide Kits remove the Framing Guides that come on the fireplace and install the optional Guide
Kits following the instructions supplied with them.
BENTLEY DOORS
– The Bentley Doors come with Finishing Guides. Remove the Guides that come with the Fireplace
and install the Bentley Guides following the instructions supplied with the Bentley Doors.

Doors or Fronts on this appliance that aren’t certified by Mendota.
