Operation
4.1 To do before you operate the
product
Warning!
Do not use the product if it is damaged or
does not operate correctly, or if the power cord or plug are
damaged. Damaged parts must be repaired or replaced
before operation of the product.
●
Make sure that the chain brake operates properly. Refer
to “5.4 To do a check of the chain brake” på sid. 49.
●
Do a check of the saw chain tension. Refer to “3.1 To
assemble the bar and the chain” på sid. 46.
●
Make sure that there is enough chain oil in the product.
Refer to “5.6 To do a check of the saw chain lubrication”
på sid. 49.
●
Make sure that the hand guard is undamaged.
●
Make sure that the power trigger and trigger lockout
operate properly. Refer to “5.5 To do a check of the power
trigger and trigger lockout” på sid. 49.
●
Make sure that the handles are clean, dry and free from
oil and grease.
●
Do a check of all parts, make sure that they are correctly
fitted and undamaged.
●
Put the power cord through the stress reliever. Refer to
“2.11 Safety devices” på sid. 45.
●
Make sure that the saw chain stops when you release the
power trigger.
●
Make sure that the work area is dry. Make sure that the
temperature is 15 to 30°C, with a relative humidity of max
60%.
4.2 To start the product

Make sure that the product is connected to a mains
outlet with a residual current device of 30 mA.

Do a check of the power trigger and trigger lockout.
Refer to “5.5 To do a check of the power trigger and
trigger lockout” på sid. 49.

Make sure that the kickback guard is in the rearward
position.

Make sure that the power cord cannot get stuck in
branches.

Hold the saw firmly with both hands.

Push the trigger lockout (A). (Figure 4)

Press in the power trigger (B).

Release the trigger lockout.

Release the power trigger.

Disocnnect the power plug.
4.4 To use the sawing techniques
4.4.1 To use the pull stroke
●
To cut on the pull stroke is when you cut with the bottom
of the guide bar. The saw chain pulls through the tree
when you cut. In this position you have better control of
the product and the position of the kickback zone.
(Figure 5–6)
4.4.2 To use the push stroke
Warning!
If the saw chain is caught in the trunk, the
product can be pushed at you. Hold the product tightly and
make sure that the kickback zone of the guide bar does not
touch the tree and causes a kickback.

To cut on the push stroke is when you cut with the top of
the guide bar. The saw chain pushes the product in the
direction of the operator. (Figure 7–8)
4.5 To cut a trunk on the ground
Warning!
Make sure that the saw chain does not
touch the ground when you complete the kerf.

Cut approximately ⅔ through the trunk on the pull
stroke.

Turn the trunk and cut on the pull stroke from the
opposite side.
4.6 To cut a trunk that has support on
one end
Warning!
Make sure that you have a firm footing and
good balance, with your feet apart when you cut.
