Warning!
Make sure that the trunk does not break
during cutting.
1
Cut ⅓ of the diameter of the trunk with on the push
stroke to prevent splitting. (Figure 9)
2
Cut on the pull stroke to meet the first cut and avoid
the bar gets clamped.
4.7 To cut a trunk that has support on
two ends
Warning!
Stop the motor if the saw chain gets caught
in the trunk. Use a lever to open up the kerf and remove the
product. Do not try to pull the product out by hand. This can
result in injury when the product suddenly breaks free.
1
Cut on the pull stroke approximately ⅓ through the
trunk.
2
Cut through the remaining part of the trunk on the
push stroke to complete the cut.
4.8 To use the limbing technique
Warning!
Branches under tension can cause the
chain to pinch.
1
Stand on the opposite side of the trunk from the
branch to be cut.
2
Start from the root end.
3
Cut each branch on the push stroke. Make sure to cut
the branches (A) first. (Figure 10)
4
Cut the log into pieces.
5
Cut the branches (B) that held the trunks weight.
4.9 To use the tree felling technique
Warning!
You must have experience to fell a tree. If
possible, engage in a training course in chainsaw operation.
Speak to an operator with experience for more knowledge.
4.9.1 To do before felling a tree
●
Make sure that there are no people or animals in the
work area.
●
Make sure that everyone involved in the operation has a
clear retreat from the felling area. The retreat should run
at an angle from the direction of fall. (Figure 11)
●
Make sure that the area around the tree is free from
obstructions that can be tripped over.
●
Make sure that the nearest workplace is at least 2.5 tree
heights away. Examine the felling direction and make
sure there are no persons, animals or obstacles within at
least 2.5 tree heights.
4.9.2 To fell a tree
1
Make the directional cuts (B) through 1/3 of the
diameter of the trunk, on the side in which the tree is
to fall. (Figure 12)
2
Make the felling cut (A) from the other side of the
tree, 3-5 cm above the bottom directional cut. Always
leave holding wood (C), which acts as a hinge.

Maintenance
5.1 To fill with saw chain oil
Caution!
Do not use a product with no chain oil.
Regularly do a check of the oil level.
Caution!
Make sure that no dirt enters the oil tank.
1
Place the product on a stable surface with the oil
tank cap up.
2
Clean the area around the cap if it is necessary.
3
Open the oil tank cap slowly and remove it.
4
Carefully fill with chain oil.
5
Do a check of the oil level in the sight glass. The oil
level must be between the MAX and MIN markings.
6
Tighten the oil tank cap by hand.
7
Clean any spilled oil.
5.1.1 Saw chain oil
