Where can I find the necessary drivers for my PC?

The drivers can be found in the second hard drive partition in the Drivers and
Tools folders.
How do I activate Windows®?
•
Windows® is activated automatically as soon as an internet connection is estab-
lished.
How do I activate Windows® without an internet connection?
•
Windows® can also be activated over the telephone. Follow the instructions
shown on the operating system.
When is restoring factory settings recommended?
•
This method should only be selected as a last resort. Read about the alternatives
in the
System recovery
section.
How do I perform a data backup?
•
Create a backup of the selected data on an external medium (e.g. CD-ROM, DVD-
ROM, USB stick or external hard drive). When storing the backup storage medi-
um, take care to observe the relevant instructions from the manufacturer. Back-
ups are unusable if the data medium is faulty or data loss occurs.
Why must I install my USB device again, even though I have already done this?
•
If the device is not operated using the same USB port used for its installation, it
automatically receives a new identifier. The operating system then treats it like a
new device and tries to reinstall it.

Use the installed driver or connect the device to the port on which it was origi-
nally installed.

15.1. Initial help in the event of hardware problems
Malfunctions can sometimes have various causes, we have included a brief trouble-
shooting guide which may help to solve any problems.

15.2. Finding the cause
Start by carefully checking all cable connections. If the LED display is not working
for all devices, ensure that the PC and all peripheral devices are connected to an ad-
equate electricity supply.
Check the socket, mains cable and all switches in the socket circuit.
