Mouse
In addition to the two standard buttons, the mouse also features a third button in
the scroll wheel.
6.1. Left
button
Use the left button to make a selection (click once) and confirm this (double-click).
6.2. Right
button
Use the right button to call up certain position commands (context menus).
6.3. Scroll
wheel
The scroll wheel in the centre has two functions:

You can use the wheel to scroll through long documents, e.g. websites or texts
(scrolling).
•
Depending on the configuration of the mouse, the wheel can also be used as a
third button.
The scroll wheel can be configured via the mouse settings in the control panel.
If the mouse pointer cannot be moved smoothly across the screen, try
using a different surface (mouse pad). Glass or metal surfaces may prove
problematic.
7.
Keyboard
7.1. The Alt, Alt Gr and Ctrl buttons
In addition to the usual letters and characters, the keyboard can also be used to in-
put some special characters and execute certain commands, depending on the pro-
gram. This special configuration is controlled with the
Alt
;
Alt Gr
and
Ctrl
buttons.
7.2. The F1 to F12 and Fn keys
The F1 to F12 function keys are used to execute certain commands or call up help
systems. These commands and help systems vary depending on the program or op-
erating system.
The
Fn
key and the function keys are used to call up various operating system func-
tions or to control media playback. A table listing all of the available commands ap-
pears below.
