Customizing your RDA (Introduction to the Meazura™ MEZ1000 RDA)

TIP

Choose the time zone from the list that corresponds to where you are. When you travel, use this
dialog to change time zones. If you're not sure what time zone you are in, find out what time it is,
and select the time zone which shows the current new time. Do not use the time zone dialog to
switch between daylight savings time and standard time. Use the Daylight Savings pick list.

The screen closes and the time you selected is displayed.

Setting daylight savings time:

1.

Tap the Home icon to access the Applications Launcher menu, then select Date & Time from the
pick list in the uper right corner of the screen.

2.

Tap on the Daylight Saving pick list to toggle this feature on or off.

Formatting the date, time and numbers

The Formats Preferences screen lets you choose a default country for your device and also lets you
set defaults for times, dates, and number formats. When selecting a country and time, date, and
number formats, keep the following in mind:

·

When you select a country, the time, date, and number formats are adjusted, as well as the week's
starting day. For example, in Germany, time often is expressed using a 24-hour clock and the
starting day of the week is Monday; in the United States, however, time is expressed using a 12-
hour clock with an AM or PM suffix and the starting day of the week is Sunday. You can customize
your own settings.

·

The Time setting defines the format for the time of day, which appears in all applications on your
RDA.

To choose a country default:

1.

Tap the Home icon to access the Application Launcher menu; then tap the Prefs icons.

2.

In the pick list in the upper right corner, tap Formats.

3.

Tap the Preset To pick list, and tap a country name.

To change the formatting of the time, date, week start, and numbers:

NOTE

This setting controls the Day, Week, Month, and Agenda views in Date Book and all ther aspects of
your RDA that display a calendar.

1.

Tap the Home icon to access the Application Launcher menu; then tap the Prefs icon.

2.

In the pick list in the upper right corner, tap Formats.

3.

In the Formats Preferences screen, tap the Time pick list and select a format, where

H

 is hour

and

M

 is minute.

4.

Tap the Date pick list and select a format, where

D

 is day,

M

 is month, and

Y

 is year.

5.

Tap the Week starts pick list, and select whether you want the first day of the week to be
Sunday or Monday.
