Setting up dial-in access
For details on adding user accounts for dial-in access, and configuring the UTM Firewall appliance to
enable authentication against a RADIUS or server, see
Users menu .

Select a packet size for the MTU, or accept the default value.

Click Finish. The Port Settings tab now becomes available. You can adjust settings if desired. Now
configure the dial-in client. See the next procedure,

Connecting a dial-in client
Remote users can dial in to the UTM Firewall appliance using the standard Windows Dial-Up Networking
software. The network connection wizard guides you through setting up a remote access connection. The
following instructions are for Windows XP.

Click Start > Control Panel > Network Connections and select the New Connection Wizard icon.
The New Connection Wizard appears (
Figure 57 ).

Click Next. The Network Connection Type page appears ( Figure 58 ).

Select the Connect to the network at my workplace option. Click Next to continue. The Network
Connection page appears (
Figure 59 ).
