System Setup Menu

From the System Menu, select System Setup > Security Policy. The Security Policy tab appears.

Select one of the three recovery options:
• Recovery Boot Enabled – This option ensures that you can network boot the device normally.
• Recovery Boot Password Protected – This option tells the device to issue a serial console prompt
for the root password. You must enter the password for the root user before network booting the
device.
• Recovery Boot Disabled – Selecting this option prevents the device from network booting.
Caution: [Optional] Select the
Lock Security Policy
check box to make the Bootloader Settings you
selected permanent.If the security policy is locked, it can only be changed by performing a factory reset on the
device.

Click Apply.
Memory Allocation tab
This Memory Allocation tab ( Figure 332 ) allows system resources to be managed and allocated between the
various available subsystems. For each subsystem, it is possible to enable and disable that subsystem or to
specify the maximum percentage of system memory that subsystem is allowed to consume.

To enable or disable a sub-system:

Select the checkbox to the left of the sub-system.

Click Submit.
A green check mark in this column indicates the sub-system is enabled.
The Maximum field indicates the maximum percentage of system memory that can be allocated to the
sub-system. If the maximum memory allocated is below the recommended minimum threshold, a red “x”
appears between the Maximum and Minimum columns.
The Minimum field indicates a recommended minimum percentage of memory that should be allocated to
the associated subsystem for a modest configuration. It is possible to specify total percentages below this
threshold.
