Network overview
This chapter describes the Network Setup options of the McAfee UTM Firewall Management Console. Use
the Network Setup options to configure each of your UTM Firewall appliance’s Ethernet, wireless, and serial
ports.
• An Ethernet network interface can be configured to connect to your LAN, DMZ, an untrusted LAN, or the
Internet as a primary, backup, or load-balancing connection.
• A serial port can be configured to provide remote dial-in access, or connect to the Internet as a primary
or back-up connection.
• A wireless interface can be configured to connect to your LAN, DMZ, or an untrusted LAN.
