Fuel economy

In order to improve fuel economy, we
recommend that you shift gears when
the system prompts you to do so.

This will help you to reduce fuel
consumption without strongly
affecting vehicle performance.

The system will indicate when you
should shift gears by displaying
a small arrow next to the gear
displayed.

This arrow illuminates just before
reaching the speed required for
gearshifting.

When the recommended gear has
been selected, the indicator goes
off. If the recommended gearshift
is delayed or not performed, the
indicator will remain illuminated for
a few seconds and will then go off.
As soon as the conditions requiring
gearshifting are met, the indicator
illuminates again, as described above.

The recommended gearshift indicator
will only work when the gearbox is
set to manual sequential operation.
