SCOPE OF APPLICATION:
The
paper
monster L163
data shredder is
designed for shredding general printed material
and data media such as CDs, DVDs, FDs and
credit cards.
This machine should only be used for
shredding paper and credit cards and
for shredding CDs, DVDs and FDs!
Any attempt to shred other types of data
medium may result in damage to the
machine (e.g. destruction of the cutting
mechanism etc.).
INSTALLATION:
- Unpack and set machine upright.
- Insert the two included locking casters into the
front holes of the cabinet bottom and press
firmly until the axis snaps in place. Insert the two
included non-locking casters into the remaining
back holes the same way (see fig. 4).
- Plug in the machine (for instructions for the
necessary precautions see „TECHNICAL
DATA“).
To disconnect the machine from the
power supply system, please unplug
the power plug.
The socket outlet shall be installed
near the equipment and shall be easily
accessible!
Only operate the machine in enclosed
rooms at temperatures between 10°C
and 25°C!
OPERATING THE MACHINE:
Turn machine on with pushbutton switch (1) (fig.
1). Pilot lamp lights up (5) (fig. 1).
MATERIAL FEED:
Feed
paper
(credit card) into the cutting
mechanism through the paper feed slot (6) (Fig.
2).
Feed
data carriers
(CD, DVD or FD) into the
cutting mechanism individually into the separate
CD/DVD/FD feed slot (7) (Fig. 2).
The machine automatically switches to forwards
running, draws the material in and automatically
switches off after shredding.
Note:
For shredding transparent films, the
machine must be manually switched to forwards
running.
When shredding papers, do not shred
CD/DVD/FD at the same time, and vice
versa!
Never feed the shredder with a
quantity of material exceeding the
maximum indicated. Refer to the
TECHNICAL DATA section!
Should
the
machine
become
overloaded, follow the instructions under
“MATERIAL JAM IN MACHINE” under
“MALFUNCTIONS”.
OPERATING FUNCTIONS:
1 = Pushbutton switch „ready“ (fig. 1)
Depress this switch to start the machine or
to stop the machine.
2 = Pushbutton
„Cutting system forward“ (fig. 1)
Pressing this button starts the cutting system.
Material can now be fed to the shredder.
3 = Pushbutton
„Cutting system reverse“ (fig. 1)
Pressing this button starts the cutting system
in reverse.
Note:
The cutting mechanism only runs
backwards as long as the button is held
(touch function).
4 = Sensor (forward run) (fig. 2)
The shredding operation is started as soon
as a sheet of paper passes through the feed
slot.
5 = Pilot lamp „ready“ (fig. 1)
Lights when the pushbutton switch (1) is
operated.
6 = Paper feed slot (fig. 2)
7 = CD/DVD/FD feed slot (fig. 2)
8 = Paper receptacle (fig. 3)

10 = Receptacle full window (fig. 3)
The shredder may not be used as a
step ladder or as a seat. Danger of
falling due to breakage!
