LENGTHY DOWNTIMES OF APPLIANCE
If the appliance is to be out of use for a lengthy
period, proceed as follows.
1)
Disconnect the Smok from the electrical power
supply socket.
2)
Remove the Smok from the oven.
3)
Clean the appliance and the surrounding areas
thoroughly.
4)
Spread a fi lm of edible oil over the stainless
steel surfaces.
5)
Carry out all the servicing procedures.
6)
Cover the appliance and leave a few gaps to
allow air to circulate.
Caution - Warning
Do not use improper materials that are not
suitable for smoking. For example, combus-
tion of resinous wood, fresh or treated with
glues and paints may generate toxic fumes.
Turning off
1)
Turn the knob
(E)
to “
0
” to switch off the ap-
pliance.
2)
Disconnect the Smoker from the electrical
power supply socket.
Caution - Warning
Once smoking is complete, disconnect the
fume extraction pipe and turn it to standby
position (see fi g. 3).
Caution - Warning
No liability is assumed for breakages or mal-
functions due to steam entering the device
with the fumes extraction pipe not correctly
repositioned.
Caution - Warning
The oven normally generates steam leaks
not only when operating in steam or mixed
mode but also, for example, when washing or
cooldowns are performed.
Caution - Warning
Pay specifi c attention to the internal surfaces
of the drawer which may still be very hot and
have incandescent unburned residues.
