TROUBLESHOOTING
Important note: If the fault cannot be resolved immediately, then you will need to
know the error code that appears on the display in order to analyse the problem
When reporting a fault, also state the operating conditions of the heat pump: ambi-
ent temperature, pool water temperature, whether the air coming out of the heat
pump is cold, if the evaporator grille is cold or if there is ice on the evaporator.
Please keep this information at disposal when you call customer service to descri-
be the problem. On the following pages you will find an overview of the different
types of problems and faults that may occur, together with instructions on how to
solve them.
1. ERROR MASSAGES
If an error occurs, the display will show an "error message" in the form of a code. The
meaning of the displayed code can be found in the error message table below.
Failure/error
Code
Cause
Remedy
Error of the inlet water
temperature sensor
P01
The sensor is open or shorted
Check or replace the sensor
Error of the outlet water
temperature sensor
P02
The sensor is open or shorted
Check or replace the sensor
Error of the ambient air
temperature sensor
P04
The sensor is open or shorted
Check or replace the sensor
Error of the evaporator
temperature sensor
P05
The sensor is open or shorted
Check or replace the sensor
Error of the compressor
outlet temperature sensor
P81
The sensor is open or shorted
Check or replace the sensor
Error of the compressor
outlet temperature
sensor(3x in sequence)
P82
The compressor outlet
temperature is too high
Check the refrigerant level
High pressure protection
E01
High pressure of refrigerant
Check the high pressure sensor
and have it checked for clogged
gas lines or usable refrigerant
Low pressure protection
E02
Low pressure of refrigerant
Check the low pressure
sensor and have it checked for
refrigerant leaks or sufficient
refrigerant in the system
Error of flow sensor
E03
Low level or no water in the
system
Check the water pump, flow
sensor or water flow obstacles
Large difference in inlet and
outlet water temperatures
E06
Low water flow through the
exchanger
Check the water flow, or if the
system is not blocked
Communication error
E08
Communication between
control unit and controller
failed
Check the wiring.
Protection against low
ambient temperature
TP
The ambient temperature is
too low.
Defrosting
DF
Defrosting is needed.
