4. INSTALLATION OF A HEAT PUMP IN THE FILTER CIRCUIT
(1) This heat pump must be installed in accordance with the instructions given in
these operating instructions. Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to the devi-
ce, injury to persons, animals or even death.
(2) The device is designed for outdoor use with good air ventilation. To ensure its
optimal performance, its location must meet these conditions:
1. Good air ventilation
2. Stable power supply
3. Piping with pool filtration
(3) Avoid installation in places with increased dust, which leads to a gradual de-
terioration of heat exchange, or in places where the flow of cold air or noise
could be annoying (windows, terrace, pergola…).
(4) Do not orientate the air outlet against the direction of the prevailing winds.
(5) Avoid installing the device in a place with limited air circulation or where there
are obstacles to free airflow. Obstacles limit the continuous supply of fresh air;
cold air sucking back into the heat pump significantly impairs its efficiency.
(6) During the operation of the heat pump, water vapours condense on the blades
of the evaporator and the condensate originated flows into the lower part of
the heat pump and flows freely under it. If you are bothered by the leakage of
condensate, ensure that it is collected in a suitable container or that this con-
densate is drained into a sewer.
(7) If an internal heat pump installation is required, an expert must be consulted.
(8) When installing a bypass, make sure that no more than 30% of the flow passes
through it.
(9) The figure next to it shows the requirements for the minimum distances of the
heat pump from obstacles.
(10) The distance of the device from the edge of
the pool must not be shorter than 2 m. It is
recommended to install the heat pump so that
the total length of the connecting hoses does
not exceed 30 m. It is necessary to take into
account the fact that the longer the length
of the connecting hoses, the greater the heat
and pressure losses of the distribution.
(11) Optimum heat exchange is ensured when the
water flow is reached, which is stated on the
pump nameplate and in the specifications.
(12) The device must be installed on a flat and solid surface, such as a concrete
plinth or a steel base.
(13) During installation, it is necessary to consider the winter shutdown of the heat
pump, when it is necessary to disconnect the heat pump from the filter circuit
in time, before the arrival of frost, and drain all water, as well as other parts of
the water circuit. Frost damage is not covered by the warranty.
(14) The heat pump is equipped with connection sockets for connecting a pool hose
with a diameter of 32 mm.
When installing above ground, always use pipes and no hoses. The heat exchanger
fitting is not able to support the weight of the hoses filled with water and this can
cause a damage to the heat exchanger.
