Remote controls:
Learning new remotes:
1.
Disarm the alarm.
2.
Turn ignition on.
3.
Press and hold the
button on the original remote until the indicators start flashing (and siren chirps if
fitted) (approx. four seconds) and then release the button.
4.
Immediately press and hold the
button on the new remote until the indicators stop flashing.
5.
Turn the ignition off.
6.
The new remote is now coded in.
Learning remotes when no working remotes are available:
1.
Open the driver’s door and the bonnet. The alarm will sound if currently armed.
2.
Enter the PIN code using the ignition key (refer Emergency disarm/PIN code override).
3.
As soon as the indicators start flashing and siren chirps if fitted (approx. four seconds), press and hold the
button on a single remote. This will learn in the remote and delete all other codes.
4.
Press the
button again and test for correct operation (if the bonnet and door is still open the alarm will
signal door ajar warning by chirping for 3 seconds).
5.
Learn any remaining remotes via the normal method outlined above.
Deleting remotes:
To delete a lost remote you have three options:
1.
Use Learning remotes when no working remotes are available sequence above.
2.
A new remote can be coded into the system 12 times. You can do this by coding the same remote in even if you
only have one remote.
3.
Or the unit can be sent back to Manta Electronics for resetting.
Emergency disarm / PIN code override
This feature enables the owner to disarm the system if the remote has been lost or broken (or the remote batteries
are flat). There are over 66,000 possible combinations. The PIN code is set at the factory and is not changeable. The
unique PIN code is printed on the supplied PIN code card that must be kept safe at all times.
To will override the alarm whether it is armed or auto-immobilised.
1.
Enter the vehicle. If the alarm is armed the siren will sound. (You can turn the siren off with the siren key if
required.)
2.
Make sure the bonnet and boot are shut. The doors can be shut or open.
3.
Turn the ignition ON to OFF in a quick steady rhythm an equal number of times to the first PIN digit.
4.
Wait for the indicators and LED to flash once. (If the alarm is armed you will not be able to see the indicator flash
so instead look for the LED flash).
5.
Now, repeat for the second PIN digit and wait for the indicators/LED to flash.
6.
Repeat until all five digits are entered.
7.
If the code entered is correct the alarm will disarm. Start the vehicle within 40 seconds or the alarm will
automatically immobilise and you will need to repeat the procedure.
