4.  Putting on and taking off

Before using a Mask and Ultimate Coverall, it is advisable to provide full training on the safety of use by
a competent person. In order to ensure sealing and the required degree of protection, it is advisable / appropriate
to assist the wearer (covering the zipper, sealing the connections between the gloves and the suit, and between
the shoe and the suit). For putting on a suit and fiting into the mask, the mirror should be a sufficient tool.

Putting on the mask

1.  Loosen the strap by pushing the buckle axis towards the mask and pulling the strap (Fig. 1).
2.  Hold the right and the left straps by both hands. Insert your chin into the lower face piece and drag the

straps over your head. (Fig. 2)

3.  Align the mask with your face and gradually and carefully tighten all straps from 1 to 6. (Fig. 3).

Make sure the mask is not misaligned on your face.
Any hair caught inside the mask could cause air-tightness disruption.

4.  Pull the head straps downwards and backwards, to eliminate any free space in the front section.
5.  Push the visor towards your head and gradually firmly tighten all the straps from 1. to 6.
6.  Perform an air-tightness test. (see „8 Air-tightness test“)

Taking off the mask

1.  Loosen the head straps by lightly pulling the buckle away from your head.
2.  Hold the mask at the chin section by both hands, pull it away from your head and remove it.

Air-tightness test

1.  Place your palm on the hose thread.
2.  Slightly breath in and watch whether the mask slightly presses towards your face and whether any air

leaks between the mask and your face.

If you find any air leakage, adjust the mask position on yourface and tighten the head straps to
eliminate any leakage!  Do not use the respirator unless perfect air-tightness has been achieved.

Putting on the coverall

Prior to use, it is important to carry out a visual check to see if the suit is damaged in any way.

In the event of damage to the suit, the suit must not be used.

Before use, we recommend correctly unfold the suit, it makes it easier to put it on. Check if PAPR works
according to the manufacturer‘s instructions. The filters should be properly attached to the PAPR, not
directly to the suit.

1.  Fasten the belt with PAPR, already equipped with two thread filters (Fig. 6).
2.  Attach the hose from PAPR to the already fitted mask (see procedure of putting on the mask) and turn

the unit on. Make sure that the hose is not twisted (Fig. 7).

3.  Unzip the entire zip suit.
4.  Put your legs in your suit‘s trousers and pull out the suit up to your waist (Fig. 8).
5.  There is a room for a PAPR on the back of the coverall. Place it properly and fix the coverall to the PAPR

using grommets (Fig. 9).

6.  Put your hands in the sleeves, pull the suit up to your shoulders and drag your hood over the mask

frame (Fig. 10).

7.  Close the coverall by the zipper, remove the cover from the zipper tape and press firmly (Fig. 11).
8.  Bend the extended part of the the zip inside the coverall. Put the hood into the groove along the entire

circumference of the mask frame (Fig. 12 + detail).

9.  Secure the connection between the coverall hood and the mask frame. As an alternative, a duct tape

can also be used for these purposes if it offers the same or a better resistance (100 N) than the clamp
frame. (Fig. 13).

Ensure that folds are not formed when covering the zipper cover. Without sealing, the protection

provided may be reduced.

When taping zipper and attaching a suit to the mask groove, it is advisable to use the assistant or at least
the mirror.

1.  Put on the appropriate shoes and drag your suit over it. Seal the transition with a tape (Fig. 14).
2.  Take appropriate protective gloves and drag the suit over them. Seal the transition with a tape (Fig. 15).

For taping it is advisable to use somebody else assistance. Choose the appropriate underwear in order to
minimise the heat stress and to avoid damage to the suit.

Putting off the coverall

Before you start putting off the coverall, leave the dangerous area.

Putt off the protective suit in the reverse order of the putting on.

1.  Choose the appropriate type of decontamination process according to type of your work.
2.  Remove the clamp frame form the mask.
3.  Remove the tape connecting the sleeves to the gloves (Fig. 16).
4.  Remove the tape linking the trousers with the shoe (Fig. 17).
5.  Remove the hood from the mask frame (Fig. 18).
6.  Take off the zip overlay and unzip the zip (Fig. 19).
