2. Introduction
Th is product is a 1-axis interpolator with modular design for
industrial machines. When it is used in combination with the
optionally available PL25 head unit and SL110 or SL130 scale unit
or with the PL60 head with cable and SL331 scale unit, it outputs
quadrature A/B signals with a resolution from 2 to 250 μm.

Features
• Multiaxis confi guration is readily available thanks to the
modular design.
• Th
e MJ100 operates on 4.5 to 6 V DC power supply.
• Th
e MJ110 operates on 11 to 31 V DC power supply.
• An A/B phase synchronized reference point signal can be
output by connecting the optionally available SET-P16-1.
• Reference point signals in synchronization with the quadrature
A/B signals can be output.
• Output signals include the A/B phase signal, U/V/W phase
signals (MJ100 only), reference point signal, and alarm signal.
Th
e MJ100 uses voltage-diff erential line driver output that
complies with EIA-422 standard, while the MJ110 uses open
collector output.
• Th
e compact miniature DIN connector used for the read head
can be easily led through pipes.
