1.3 CONNECTING BETWEEN FUNCTION BLOCKS
A function block is referred to with Group No. in which it is registered. Group + terminal numbers are referred when connect-
ing a block to another. Discrete signals are handled in a different manner from analog signals.
1.3.1 CONNECTING ANALOG SIGNALS
Group and terminal numbers of an analog signal source are registered at the destination function block where the signal is
taken in and used.
A terminal is described as GGNN, where GG means Group No. and NN means Terminal No.

G01, G04 and G05 are groups for Field Terminal functions.
Group ‘04’ and Terminal ‘21’ are referred to provide the output
signal of the field terminal block to ITEM 11 of G30 Square
Root Extractor block.
Group ‘30’ and Terminal ‘21’ are referred to provide the output
signal of the square root extractor block to ITEM 15 of G02
Control block.
