range will normally be up to 50 m. Thick stone walls can severely
affect the range.
1.3 Signal strength
The icon on your handset display indicates when you are in
range of the base. When it flashes and you hear a warning beep,
you are out of range and will need to move close to the base.
IMPORTANT
Do not connect the telephone line cord to the telephone line wall
socket until the handset is fully charged. The base station should
be plugged into the mains power socket at all times.
1.4 Location
You need to place your ML0656 within 2 m of the mains power
socket and telephone socket so that the cables will reach. Make
sure it is at least 1m away from other electrical appliances to
avoid interference. Your ML0656 works by sending radio signals
between the handset and base. The strength of the signal depends
on where you site the base. Putting it as high as possible can help
to provide the best signal.
1.5 Setting up the base and handset
1.
Plug the power adaptor and telephone cable into the back of
the base.
2. Plug the power adaptor into the mains wall socket and switch
the power on. When connected correctly, the green Power light
on the base comes on.
