Logging
The log is an ASCII text file named LOG8021X.TXT in the Windows directory. Selecting View
and then Log will open the log in the system text editor. The detail recorded in the log is set from
the System Settings dialog. Severity of each entry is indicated by the number of asterisks
preceeding the message:
•
1 = debugging
•
2 = information
•
3 = warning
•
4 = error
Registration
The Registration dialog is reached from the Main screen by selecting Help | Register. If a client is
not registered, it will typically expire in 2 weeks after which time it will not authenticate. After
Registration, the Client will again authenticate, and has an unlimited lifetime. This dialog is not
available if the client has been registered. There are two fields:
License ID
A case sensitive field which contains a unique ID. Generally the "Personal
License ID" presented in the text of the Register dialog is entered into this
field.
License Key
A case sensitive field obtained by registering the client.
When both fields contain proper values, selecting "OK" completes the licensing process.
