What Are the Voice Messaging
Services?
The voice messaging system provides three types of service:
■
Automated Attendant Service.
Acts like an automated receptionist. It
answers outside calls and transfers them to the destination selected by
the caller.
■
Call Answer Service.
Acts like a sophisticated answering machine. It
allows the caller to leave a message or to transfer to another extension if
the called party is busy or does not answer.
■
Voice Mail Service.
Allows subscribers to listen to messages and to
manage their own mailboxes.
Figure 1-1 provides an overview of the features associated with each service.
