Starting Up the NMS

Start HP OpenView Services by entering:
/opt/OV/bin/ovstart

Log in as the nms user by entering:
su - nms

To execute HP OpenView and NavisCore, enter:
/opt/OV/bin/ovw &
The system displays the HP OpenView root window, Event Categories window,
and NavisCore Icon.

You do not have to start the local Backup Server if it was never shut down.
If you need to start it, enter
/etc/rc2.d/S98sybase
