The display asks “Set FILE NAME Default?”. Press [yes].
To change the name, move the cursor with [<] or [>] and select characters the edit wheel or
the channel [F/A] buttons.
To save, press [ok].
INVERT YELLOW MASTER
The operation of the Yellow Bank master may be inverted so that its output is at maXimum when
the fader is at the bottom of its travel. This allows crossfades between the Red and Yellow masters
to be performed with the fader knobs side by side.
To set the Yellow master inversion:
Press and hold [function], tap [F/A] (setup).
The display asks “Set Preferences?”. Press [yes].
The display asks “Set default times and speeds?”. Press [no].
The display asks “Set Language default?”. Press [no].
The display asks “Set FILE NAME Default?”. Press [no].
The display asks “Set Yellow Inversion?”. Press [yes].
If the Yellow master is not inverted, the display asks
“Yellow Master is not inverted – Invert?” Press [yes].
If the Yellow master is inverted, the display asks
“Yellow Master is inverted – Set Normal?” Press [yes].

VIDEO MONITOR
Your maXim is fitted with a VIDEO output connector (optional on S & M models). Simply plug a
SVGA monitor into the VIDEO connector and connect the monitor to mains power. The maXim
provides all the necessary video and synchronisation signals for the SVGA monitor.
