Installation
location/I/O
power rating
verification
Is the location for the inverter installation appropriate?
Does the operating environment meet the inverter’s
specifications?
Does the main power supply meet the inverter’s rated input?
Is the inverter’s rated output sufficient to supply the equipment?
(In certain circumstances, insufficient output will result in
degraded performance.)
Electrical
connections
Is a circuit breaker installed on the input side of the inverter?
Is the circuit breaker correctly rated?
Are the incoming power cables correctly connected to the
inverter’s R/S/T terminals?
(
Caution
: connecting the incoming power supply to the U/V/W
terminals may damage the inverter.)
Are the motor output cables connected in the correct phase
rotation (U/V/W)?
(
Caution
: motors will rotate in the reverse direction if the phase
rotation is incorrect.)
Are the incoming power cables rated correctly?
Is the inverter grounded correctly?
Are the power terminal screws and the ground terminal screws
tightened to the specified torque?
Is the inverter separated from the power source by a magnetic
contactor (if a braking resistor is in use)?
Control circuit
connections
Are STP cables used for all control circuit wiring?
-
Is the shielding of all STP cables properly grounded?
-
