SAFETY RULES
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE STERILISER.
THE PRODUCT IS DESIGNED FOR DOMESTIC USE ONLY.
When using electrical devices, special safety precautions must be taken including:
• NOTE: To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or device’s body in water, or other
liquid. Protect the device from getting wet and NEVER operate the device with wet hands.
• NOTE: To ensure constant protection against electric shock, the appliance should only be connected to sockets
with a grounding pin.
• Before plugging in the device for the first time ensure that the voltage is compatible with your electricity
supply by checking the label on the base of the unit. The correct voltage for LOVI electric steriliser is 230 V.
• The product has been fitted with a circular cord slot on the base of the unit to allow you to adjust the length
of the cord safely. It is recommended that the cord be kept as short as possible. The cord cannot hang over the
edge of the tabletop or countertop or touch hot surfaces.
• A short power cord should be used to reduce the risks of tangling or tripping over a long power cord.
• Extension cords may be used if during their use they are adequately protected and are under appropriate
supervision.
• If extension cords are used:
1) The marked electrical voltage of the extension cord should be compatible with the electrical voltage
indicated on the device.
2) The extension cord must be adapted to the device’s electrical load, according to the information provided
on the nameplate.
3) The extension cord must bear the CE marking.
4) The extension cord cannot bear signs of any damage.
5) The cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the worktop or tabletop where it can be pulled
by children or tripped over unintentionally.
• When removing the plug from the socket, hold the edge of the socket. Never pull the plug out of the socket by
pulling on the power cord. Always unplug the device from the socket before cleaning.
• NOTE! Do not use any device with a damaged cord or plug, after a failure of the device or any other damage.
For safety reasons, the replacement of a damaged power cord or any repair should be carried out by the
service centre of the manufacturer or distributor.
• This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a guardian.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by a disabled person or near children.
• ALWAYS keep the device out of the reach of children when not in use.
• Always unplug the device from an electric socket when not in use.
• There are no spare parts / repair elements for the appliance inside the packaging. Do not attempt to repair the
appliance yourself.
• All repairs should be performed by the manufacturer or distributor service only
WARNING! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS MANUAL MAY RESULT IN BURNS OR DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT.
• Check the product before each use. Do not use it if the device is damaged in any way. In case of damage,
contact the manufacturer or distributor service.
• Improper use may damage the steriliser and cause burns to the user.
• This device is intended for household use only. Do not use the product contrary to its intended use. Other uses
violate the terms of the warranty.
• DO NOT put on or near a hot gas or electric stove, or in a preheated oven.
• USE only indoors. DO NOT use outdoors.
• If the device has been transported at low temperatures, it should be acclimatized before use to equalize the
appliance’s temperature with the ambient conditions.
• Place the device on flat, stable, and resistant to high temperatures surface.
• Before switching on the steriliser, make sure that the correct amount of water specified in the instructions
below has been added to its container. If you put too little or too much water into the steriliser it will not
operate correctly.
