To start out and accelerate:
1. Apply the rear brakes.
2. Release the throttle lever.
CAUTION:
Always close the throttle before shifting,other-
wise damage to the engine .
3. Push the drive select lever to shift your ma-
chine into the forward positions.
4. Open the throttle gradually.
5. Once the engine has reached adequate speed,
release the throttle lever.
WARNING
Always release the shift lever before opening the
throttle, or the engine could wheelie and will cause
an accident.
To decelerate:
1. Release the throttle gradually.
2. Apply the brakes smoothly and evenly.
Engine break-in
The most important period in the life of your en-
gine is between 0 and 20 hours. Please read the
following information very carefully.
●
Do not put an excessive load on the ATV for
first several hours of running.
●
Never continuous operation above half throttle.
●
Cool off the engine for ten minutes after every
hour of operation.
●
Vary the speed of the engine from time to
time.
Parking
When parking, stop the engine and shift into
neutral. Turn the fuel cock to “OFF” position and
apply the parking brake. Never parking on hills or
other inclines.
