2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1. Signal words
The following signal words are used to identify safety messages in these instructions:
Caution
Description: To indicate that caution is necessary when operating the
device or control close to where the symbol is placed, or to indicate that
the current situation needs operator awareness or operator action in order
to avoid undesirable consequences.
General warning sign
Description: Risk to people supplied by the supplementary sign or text.
This safety sign cannot be used on its own and requires a supplementary
sign to give further information about the hazard.
General mandatory action sign
Description: To signify a mandatory action. Risk to people not following
the mandatory action specified by the supplementary sign. Carrying out
the mandatory action specified by the supplementary sign.
2.2. General safety instructions for the reader
Warnings
Keep all metal articles (including metal tray/shelf above the reader) away from
the LM DTS
TM
Reader as they will reflect the radio signals leading to reading of
unwanted tags for all articles nearby
Keep all articles (instruments or dental material) with RFID tags away from the
LM DTS
TM
Reader. This prevents reading of unwanted RFID tags (articles) by the
LM DTS
TM
Reader.
Do not open the bottom plate of the LM DTS
TM
Reader.
The product must be connected to electricity meeting the requirements
specified in chapter “11. TECHNICAL DATA”. Connecting the unit to the power
supply can only be done with appropriate professional knowledge
Do not step on the LM DTS
TM
Reader.
No modification of this equipment is allowed.
