WARNING!
Danger of poisoning and danger of material damage when
parking the hot weed burner in enclosed spaces.
When the hot weed burner is parked in enclosed spaces, propane
gas poses a risk of poisoning and explosion.
Therefore:
After operation let the machine cool down outdoors.
After this has occurred park the weed burner in a well-ventilated
room.
WARNING!
Danger of injury and danger of material damage if the weed burner
is operated by unauthorised persons.
4.1 Preparatory activities
4.1.1 Connecting the gas cylinder
Use a 11 kg standard gas cylinder filled with propane. For the
withdrawal of gas, the cylinder must be positioned upright and
it must be stable.
Thread the lashing strap through the cut-outs of the back
pack panel. The strap must be placed lengthwise on the
outside of the back panel (see Fig. 3, page 17).
Place the gas cylinder
upright
on the chassis.
Tighten the tension strap around the gas cylinder and
firmly lash the cylinder in place. Ensure that the gas
cylinder is securely connected to the weed burner.
Check whether the pressure regulator and the gasket ring
of the gas coupling are damaged or missing. If necessary,
replace the missing or damaged component.
Connect the gas hose to the cylinder. The gas connection
has a left-hand thread.
